Update: Refurbishment to HVAC systems in LIB to begin May 25 outside of business hours

As shared yesterday (external link) , Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is overseeing the refurbishment of air terminals throughout all floors of the Library Building (LIB) to improve thermal comfort, air quality and energy efficiency throughout the building. 

The work is scheduled to begin May 25, 2026 and will continue until January 31, 2027. Previously, refurbishment work was scheduled to take place during regular business hours and building occupants would be unable to access their offices during the work. Work has now been rescheduled to take place outside of regular business hours and employees will continue to have access to their offices. Facilities will work with the Library to minimize the impact of the project work on building occupants.
