Today: SLC 1st floor electrical outlets will be out of service between 7 - 8 p.m.

Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is conducting a repair to the irrigation system of the SLC Green Wall. For worker safety, they must disconnect the power to an electrical panel that also powers outlets in the seating area in the main lobby of the Student Learning Centre (SLC).

The short, localized shutdown is scheduled to take place between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, April 10 and will only affect the outlets in the SLC lobby and first floor washrooms. The outage will also impact hand dryers in the first floor washrooms.

How this may impact you

All other general electrical systems, such as lighting, will function normally. 

Students, staff or visitors charging laptops or phones may use the power outlets on other floors of the building.
