SID lighting replacement and upgrades to improve energy efficiency Mar. 25, 27-29

TMU Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is overseeing upgrades to the ceiling lighting in SID203, SID213 and SID214 in the School of Interior Design (SID). 

Between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on March 25 and March 27-29, 2026, electrical contractors will be replacing the existing lighting with more energy-efficient LED lighting and adding dimmers, providing brighter and longer lasting lighting throughout the building and lowering operating costs.

How this may impact you

During the work, there may be short periods of time with no lighting available in the impacted rooms. Building occupants may also notice minor construction debris in spaces where electrical contractors are replacing the existing lighting. The electricians will make every effort to minimize the negative impact of their work.
