POD overnight noise disruption March 3 to morning of March 4

February 27, 2026

Renovations taking place on the second floor of the Podium (POD) building will include new concrete and brickwork for POD 252. The work requires some jackhammering and drilling, which will create a significant noise disturbance to POD spaces near the work.

To reduce the impact to occupants and operations in POD, the disruptive work has been scheduled to take place overnight starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4.

How this may impact you

If you are in POD late at night, there will be a significant noise disruption and potentially some vibrations in areas closest to POD-252, including the Commons Conference Room (POD-250), offices on the second floor, the student lounge by the ServiceHub.

This work has been scheduled to take place after operational hours to reduce the impact to building occupants. The contractor will make every effort to minimize the negative impact of their work.
