TRS lighting upgrades taking place overnight starting Nov. 24

November 19, 2025

TMU Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is overseeing upgrades to the ceiling lighting in all rooms, corridors and stairwells in the Ted Rogers School (TRS) building.

From November 24 to December 31, electrical contractors will be in TRS overnight to replace existing lighting with energy-efficient LEDs for brighter, longer lasting lighting throughout the building.

The project contributes to reducing our energy consumption to help meet our sustainability goals and will lower operating costs.

How this may impact you

Contractors will be entering all spaces in the building, including private offices.

During the work, building occupants may notice dust and minor construction debris in spaces where electrical contractors are replacing lights.

The electricians will make every effort to minimize the negative impact of their work.
