JOR noise disruption for rooftop mechanical system access improvements

Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is overseeing upgrades to the mechanical penthouse on the roof of Jorgenson Hall (JOR). The work will add an access door to facilitate preventative maintenance and repairs to newly installed equipment.

Contractors will be installing the new access door starting Monday morning, October 27 and the work is expected to be complete by Friday, October 31. 

The work will require drilling into the concrete roof surface.

How this may impact you

During the work, there will be noise disruptions from the drilling that may be heard throughout the building. Construction activities may also create noise disruptions in building areas closest to the work.
