JOR/POD lighting replacement and upgrades to improve energy efficiency

TMU Facilities Management and Development (“Facilities”) is overseeing upgrades to the ceiling lighting in all rooms, corridors and stairwells in Jorgenson Hall (JOR) and the Podium Building (POD).

From October 6, 2025 to January 31, 2026, electrical contractors will be replacing the existing lighting with more energy-efficient LED lighting, providing brighter and longer lasting lighting throughout the building and lowering operating costs.

How this may impact you

During the work, building occupants may notice minor construction debris in spaces where electrical contractors are replacing the existing lighting. The electricians will make every effort to minimize the negative impact of their work.
