Host an Event at the SLC

The SLC team is dedicated to supporting the entire TMU community, including faculty, staff, students, and visitors. From seamless venue reservations and coordination assistance to dedicated on-site event supervision, our team provides the end-to-end expertise needed to bring your vision to life. As an integral partner in the student and campus experience, we are proud to be the foundation behind every special event hosted here at the SLC.

Rental rates listed below are for external organizations interested in space at the SLC. These base rates do not include additional fees for catering, audio-visual equipment, cleaning, event staffing, or applicable HST. All rates are subject to change without notice.

Space availability is limited during the academic year (September to April) as internal university reservations take priority. From May to August, our spaces open up significantly for external rentals.

Space Overview:

  • Tiered Seating: L-shaped, casual seating accommodating approximately 100 people
  • Open-Concept Floor: Over 800 square feet of unobstructed, high-foot-traffic space
  • Standing Capacity: Accommodates approximately 90 people

Positioned right off Yonge Street and at the high-traffic "front door" of the campus, the Amphitheatre is the ultimate spot for high-visibility programming, pop-up activations, and vibrant community gatherings. With a continuous stream of foot traffic passing through the doors, this dynamic location ensures your event will be seen.

Space Overview:

  • Open-Concept Floor: Over 16,000 square feet of space
  • Capacity: Up to 525 people (subject to layout and seating configuration)

The sixth floor, also known as "The Beach", is an open and informal area that slopes down through a series of casual ramps and terraces. Designed to foster collaboration and creativity, the space features flexible furniture and open sightlines ideal for large-scale activations.

    (set within a 15,000+ square foot semi-open-concept floor)
  • Capacity: Up to 525 people (subject to layout and seating configuration)

Known as "The Sky," the top floor of the SLC offers a striking, high-visibility urban backdrop. The space seamlessly balances open zones for collaborative networking with structured seating, making it a memorable venue for high-profile events.
