Insurance inspection taking place in Kerr Hall on Oct. 17

To: Kerr Hall Departmental Safety Officers 

Each year, our insurer CURIE performs a Construction Occupancy Protection and Exposure (COPE) inspection on the TMU campus to help us identify and mitigate risks. This year’s inspection is taking place in Kerr Hall on Monday, October 17.

In order to complete the inspection, access to your space may be required. The inspector will be accompanied by TMU’s Risk and Insurance Officer Philani Moyo.

How this will impact you 

Each department is required to provide access to areas as requested on the day of inspection. 

Date: Monday, October 17
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Types of spaces that may be inspected

Spaces are chosen at random for inspection, however some key areas may be:

• science labs;
• commercial kitchens;
• flammable liquid storage rooms and compressed gas cylinder storage rooms; and
• some sprinkler valves.

Questions?
