The Student Leadership Conference is Toronto Metropolitan University’s flagship leadership development event designed to empower students to explore, reflect, and grow as changemakers within their communities. Each year, SLC brings together student leaders, alumni, and professionals for inspiring keynotes, skill-building workshops, and meaningful conversations that shape the next generation of leadership at TMU.

Join the team behind TMU Leadership’s biggest annual event-the 2026 Student Leadership Conference: WONDER, taking place March 14 & 15, 2026! This year’s theme, “WONDER: From Wonder to What’s Next,” invites students to rediscover their curiosity, explore bold ideas, and shape the future of leadership on campus.

As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in bringing this transformative two-day experience to life. From supporting speaker sessions and workshops to assisting with our exciting Case Competition and Evening Gala, volunteers help create a space where students can connect, collaborate, and grow as emerging leaders.

Volunteering at SLC is a chance to:

Over the past few years, the SLC has continued to evolve, growing from a small leadership summit to a transformative university-wide experience:

• 2023 – Inspire: Encouraging students to find motivation in their peers, mentors, and communities.
• 2024 – Inspire to Action: Turning ideas into impact through intentional leadership and collaboration.
• 2025 – Elevate: Empowering students to rise above challenges and strengthen their leadership capacity.
• 2026 – Wonder: Inviting students to embrace curiosity and imagination as tools for transformation.

Each year builds upon the last, creating a legacy of growth, reflection, and empowerment.
