Navigation

Navigation is organized based on the file structure within your site. Three levels of navigation are available and there are two display options.

Display option 1: Horizontal (Level 1) + left (Levels 2+3)

Display option 2: Left only - all three levels

To display left navigation:

  1. Select the "Page Information" icon in the top left corner
  2. Select "Open Properties"
  3. Select "Sidebar Display"
  4. Check off "Display Left Sidebar"
  5. Select the blue "Save & Close" button in the top right corner

To hide left navigation:

  1. Select the "Page Information" icon in the top left corner
  2. Select "Open Properties"
  3. Select "Sidebar Display"
  4. Uncheck "Display Left Sidebar"
  5. Select the blue "Save & Close" button in the top right corner
  1. During the creation of a new page, the Title field becomes the navigation label. Select the Show in Navigation checkbox  to display the new page in the site navigation.
  2. To add an existing page to navigation, open the page properties and select the Show in Navigation checkbox . Republish the page.

 Changing the page properties can be done while editing a page and selecting Page Information> Open Properties, or, via Properties in the WCM sites console.

The navigation style can only be set in the Homepage template.

  1. Open the page properties for your website's homepage
  2. Select the Navigation tab
  3. Choose your navigation type

The text in the file's Title field is the default navigation label.

To modify this label without modifying your "Title" (which is also the Page Title and page H1), you can create a shorter navigation label by doing the following:

  • Open page properties of the file
  • Go to Navigation Field> add new text
  • Close page properties and publish page

To re-order navigation:

  1. Go to the sites console --> use List View
  2. Find the page you want to reorder and select its thumbnail
  3. To the far right, you will see two columns of grey dots. Select the dots and drag the file into the order in which you want to see it.
  4. Publish the file after it has been re-ordered.
