Hello, I am Dr. Yu (Yulian) Weng, specializing in ultrasonics.

Throughout my career, I have applied my expertise in ultrasonics, signal processing, and imaging across both industrial and research settings, resulting in publications and U.S. patents. More details about my previous work and career path are available on my personal website (external link) .

Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Toronto Metropolitan University, supervised by Dr. Michael C. Kolios. We recently achieved the first systematic in vivo demonstration of nanobubble-enhanced vascular ultrasound imaging in mice, establishing a framework for future translation.

Looking ahead to 2026, my goals are to move toward clinical translation and build a startup to accelerate technology transfer. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to next-generation ultrasound imaging systems and bring better imaging technologies to more patients.
