Student Leadership Conference

The Student Leadership Conference is Toronto Metropolitan University’s flagship leadership development event designed to empower students to explore, reflect, and grow as changemakers within their communities. Each year, SLC brings together student leaders, alumni, and professionals for inspiring keynotes, skill-building workshops, and meaningful conversations that shape the next generation of leadership at TMU.

Our Journey So Far

Over the past few years, the SLC has continued to evolve, growing from a small leadership summit to a transformative university-wide experience:

  • 2024 – Inspire to Action: Turning ideas into impact through intentional leadership and collaboration.
  • 2025 – Elevate: Empowering students to rise above challenges and strengthen their leadership capacity.
  • 2026 – Wonder: Inviting students to embrace curiosity and imagination as tools for transformation.

Each year builds upon the last, creating a legacy of growth, reflection, and empowerment.

Behind the Scenes

The SLC is a true community effort that is led by TMU Leadership staff, student organizers, volunteers, and campus partners who bring the conference to life. Months of planning go into curating meaningful sessions, securing inspiring speakers, and creating an environment where students feel both challenged and supported.
