Polytechnique Montréal Order of the White Rose Scholarship

The white rose is a poignant symbol honouring the memory of the 14 young women whose lives were tragically lost on December 6, 1989 at Polytechnique Montréal. In 2014, our institution established the Order of the White Rose scholarships as a forward-looking tribute to their legacy. These scholarships aim to empower the next generation of women in engineering, helping them achieve their full potential.

Since 2025, the Order of the White Rose has broadened its scope. The scholarship program now extends well beyond financial support to offer talented young women in engineering a fully development pathway.

This expanded vision, made possible by generous support from the Circle of Benefactors of the White Rose Scholarships, helps pave the way for the next generation of women in engineering as never before.

2026

The White Rose Scholarships support outstanding young women in engineering programs who wish to enter a graduate program (master's or PhD) at the school of their choice, in Canada or elsewhere in the world, to help them pursue their ambitions and become the leaders of the future.

The Canada-wide program combines annual $50,000 scholarships with leadership coaching and mentoring.
