2022 recipient

Marty Fink

The Creative School

Dr. Marty Fink is redefining and inspiring the future of education. Their development of CMN 230: Trans Studies, the first Ryerson-wide course dedicated specifically to transgender issues, represents an invaluable contribution to teaching and learning. The course simultaneously supports students who are transgender and/or gender non-conforming, while creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for students who have had no prior access or exposure to information related to queerness, sexuality, or trans issues. Professor Fink’s students benefit from this exceptional opportunity to engage in critical questions of social justice and matters of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
