AVP International's Global Learning Award Recipients
The AVP International's Global Learning Award recognizes an individual or team (faculty or staff) who have made significant contributions to Global Learning at TMU. The recognized activity or leadership can take place either on campus or abroad.
Individual recipients receive a certificate and a one-time monetary award of $2,000 (subject to applicable deductions). Team recipients (a group of two to ten individuals) receive individual certificates and a total one-time monetary award of $3,000 (subject to applicable deductions) to be shared equally among members.

Terri Peters
Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science
Dr Peters deserves recognition through the AVP-International’s Global Learning Award for her meaningful contribution to student experience at TMU. Through her efforts she introduced new ways for students to engage in critical questions about how architectural programs are meeting our needs and expectations for sustainable design and responses to climate change. Through a multi-modal process with various partnerships, Terri engaged Canadian and international students to implement a student survey in Canadian architecture schools, leading a design competition that generated 74 countries from 22 countries (international jury) as well as producing three peer reviewed publications and two online resources.
