September 2025 Admission: February 1, 2025 is the guaranteed consideration date for applications to all programs (Grades-Plus and Grades-Only).
- Complete applications and amendments received by this applicable date will receive equal consideration.
- The deadline date to submit non-academic requirements varies by program. Visit Academic Programs and select your program of interest for specific instructions. It is important that you do not submit non-academic material until after you have submitted your application for admission and accessed your ChooseTMU Applicant Portal.

- Social Work (full-time) – Advanced Standing to year 2 for graduates of a Social Services Worker diploma from a public Ontario college who have less than two years paid full-time equivalent, relevant work experience in social services.

Application Entrance Terminology
| Advanced Standing |
Recognizes the completion of similar courses or programs by granting admission into a level higher than first semester/year. If you are eligible for Advanced Standing you will be informed on your Offer of Admission. |

| Direct Entry | Recognizes the completion of an approved college diploma or university degree by granting admission into an upper year of a specific TMU program or a specialized degree completion curriculum. |
| First-Year Studies Only | This is a one-year entry option allowing you to explore program areas before choosing a program of study within the faculty (some exclusions apply). |
| First-Semester Studies Only | This is an entry option allowing you to explore program areas before choosing a program of study within the faculty (some exclusions apply). |
| Full-Time Degree Programs | A Bachelor’s program normally completed in 4 years. In the case of co-op programs requiring an additional year of program registration; 1 additional year is added to the normal timespan. |
| Post Diploma | A Bachelor’s program designed for diploma-prepared registered nurses (RNs) and registered practical nurses (RPNs) who have completed a TMU-approved bridging program. |
