A new way to request and track IT-related support
To: All employees
A new portal is now available for requesting support from the Computing and Communications Services (CCS) Help Desk at Ryerson. Starting today, employees can log in to the Ryerson IT Help portal to:
- Submit a request to the CCS Help Desk;
- Add comments to requests housed in the portal; or
- Track the status of your support request.
You may continue to contact the CCS Help Desk at help@torontomu.ca or 416-979-5000, ext. 556806 to request assistance, after which your inquiry will be created as a ticket you can track in the IT Help portal.
Finding the portal
You can access the IT help portal by:
- navigating directly to ryerson.ca/IThelp; or
- visiting the my.ryerson portal and clicking “IT Help” in the top-navigation bar.
Since IT Help allows you to track and submit your queries, you’ll be prompted to enter your Ryerson username and password whenever launching the portal.
What you can do in the portal
While general CCS inquiries can be submitted through IT Help, you can also:
- find and submit request forms for specific services; or
- submit a request directly to:
- The CCS Help Desk
- Media Services
- Digital Media Projects
You may continue to contact all three areas at their respective email addresses,
help@ryerson.ca, avhelp@ryerson.ca and dmp@ryerson.ca. Please note however, that emails from the IT Help portal will appear in your inbox as:
- Ryerson IT Help <help@mail.ithelp.ryerson.ca>;
- Ryerson Media Services <avhelp@mail.ithelp.ryerson.ca>; and
- Ryerson Digital Media Projects <dmp@mail.ithelp.ryerson.ca>.
If you currently have open CCS Help Desk requests
If you currently have a support request pending with the CCS Help Desk, you may receive an email with a new reference number you can track in the IT Help portal. Please use this reference number in your future correspondence about this request with the CCS Help Desk.
If you have previously-resolved CCS Help Desk requests
If you have requests that were resolved by the CCS Help Desk prior to January 29, 2021, please avoid continuing the email thread or repurposing it for a new topic as it is connected to our previous tracking system. Instead, please submit a new request by contacting the CCS Help Desk via the IT Help portal, email or phone.
