Global email replacements in AEM websites
In anticipation of the email change from @torontomu.ca to @torontomu.ca (scheduled for the mid-year break), we wanted to let you know that in January 2023, our team will schedule and run a one-time global find and replace of all email addresses in AEM web pages. The email prefix i.e. username before the @ symbol will remain the same. We will communicate the exact date of the replacement in a future email.
Any email that ends in @torontomu.ca will be replaced with @torontomu.ca. All instances of @torontomu.ca will be replaced, regardless of where it is found on a web page (text, page properties, hyperlinks, alt-text, overlay, etc.). There are over 46,000 emails in the production environment contained in over 26,000 components. Given the scope of replacements, we must replace all email addresses at one time.
We will not exclude any page template type from this search and replace. This means that all news, events, security incidents and biographies will be included in the search and replace. Asset properties will also be modified but the contents of an asset such as a PDF, will not.
If you have any questions or concerns about this global replacement, please let us know.
Thank you,
