Ted Rogers School real estate research is the REAL deal, according to new rankings
The Ted Rogers School of Management’s Real Estate Management program has once again placed #1 in Canada, according to the prestigious Real Estate Academic Leadership (REAL) rankings.
“This is a remarkable achievement,” says Dr. Dogan Tirtiroglu, Ted Rogers School’s Chair of Real Estate Management. “Our program is 11 years old, and as soon as we became eligible for inclusion in the ranking, we became the top ranked Canadian school in real estate publications. We have held that position ever since.”
The new rankings cover an analysis of research published between 2020 and 2024 in three key journals (The Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, The Journal of Real Estate Research and Real Estate Economics). The Ted Rogers School’s Real Estate Management program was the only Canadian school in the ranking and placed 27th internationally, tied alongside University of Southern California, University of Texas – Arlington, the University of Illinois – Chicago and the Technical University of Munich. The program also placed ahead of Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania and University of Amsterdam.
“(The) 2020–2024 REAL Institutional Rankings highlight the intellectual contributions to the top real estate journals by the top authors and the author’s place of employment,” wrote Jesse Saginor, who published the rankings in the Journal of Real Estate Literature (external link, opens in new window) , adding the ranking highlights the institutions and their researchers “as important contributors to the field of business based on their real estate contributions.”
