Nikesha Sampson

Global Management Studies

I found a real sense of community and belonging after engaging with others in the Fit For Business program and taking advantage of resources like the Business Career Hub, Academic Advising, on-campus jobs and Student Groups.

Achievements:

  • Creative Lead of the Black Business Students Association
  • Landed a Fashion Assistant Job
  • Passed all my accounting courses

Murtaza Tinwala

Global Management Studies

Working with the university allowed me to make some great connections with faculty from all over the school, get involved with the Toronto Met community, and earn some money to help pay for school.

Achievements:

  • Honoured on the Dean's List
  • Opportunity to share my university experience with others
  • Landed a summer job at the DMZ

Jessica Vasantharajan

Accounting & Finance

I don't think FFB has realized they were the root cause for inviting a random group of [Accounting and Finance] students to virtual hang-outs that evolved into in-person socials, which now I call my closest friends at [Toronto Metropolitan University].

Achievements:

  • Landed my first co-op placement
  • Corporate Relations VP of TRMC
  • BMO Financial Group award recipient

Jonathan Pusong

Global Management Studies

I was able to gain more confidence in my abilities after participating in multiple case competitions which helped me in landing my associate role in RCG and SLC specialist role on campus.

  • Placed 1st in the DECA Competition
