The Ted Rogers School Special Events Office’s core business is to provide all building users (faculty, staff, students, & visitors) with an exceptional event experience. Our event support & experience program provides our clients with services such as venue reservation, event coordinating assistance, and on-site event supervision. Our department is an integral part of all special events hosted here at The Ted Rogers School.

TRS 1-148 & 1-150 (7th Floor)

The Ted Rogers School's signature event space. Ideal for receptions, galas, conferences and meetings, with access to our courtyard patio in the warmer months. The room also features a fully equipped demonstration kitchen, along with a retractable wall to divide the space into 2 operational rooms.

TRS 1-003 (7th Floor)

The gem on the 7th floor, The CPA Lounge features 2 walls of floor to ceiling windows, with stunning views of Yonge & Dundas Square. Ideal for meetings, panels, workshops, and small dinners. The room is also equipped with limited hybrid abilities (please contact for more information).

Size: 1,110 square feet 

Maximum Capacity: 75

TRS 1-067 (7th Floor)

The Ted Rogers School’s 500-seat auditorium has been host to awards ceremonies, movie screenings, plenaries, and academic classes. Its tired seating and large drop down screen ensures every guest has an unobstructed view.

Alcohol Licensed: No


Spaces available to book at The Ted Rogers School also includes: 

  • Classrooms* - 55 to 200 Capacities
  • Breakout Rooms - 8 to 12 capacities 
  • Boardrooms - 15 to 22 Capacities

*Classroom availability is limited during the academic year (September-April) as academic classes take priority. During the months of May to August, these rooms become available to book for corporate or associate group rentals.

Room capacities decrease with additional furniture & custom setups (i.e. buffets, staging, podiums, etc.). Please ensure you pick the room appropriate for your event size.

Use of the ExploreTMU process helps demystify event planning and ensure that your events are safe and successful. ExploreTMU helps you understand and assess ways to mitigate/eliminate potential instances of risk. This process serves to protect you, as event organizers, from liability should an issue arise.

All student group events MUST submit their events to ExploreTMU for risk assessment before being approved to proceed.

All space booked at TRSM will be tentative, and will be confirmed upon ExploreTMU approval. Without approval, reserved space(s) will be released.

Additional AV equipment required? TMU’s central media services can provide equipment rentals such as microphones and speakers. Service and rental rates apply.


The TRSM Technology Help desk is available to provide on site tech support and setup, along with minimal rental equipment (cables, laptop, etc).

Catering services for all events at the Ted Rogers School must be ordered in-house from the TRS Culinary & Catering Department. To place an order and view the menu, please use their Catertrax portal below. Our catering experts can meet all your catering needs from a simple luncheon to white glove service including dietary restrictions, customized menus and linens. With a focus on locally sourced, fresh food and entrenched sustainability practices in all they do – they will be sure to meet your needs and your budget.

The loading dock is available for use for larger scale drop-offs or furniture rentals.

Location: 491 Bay Street (CF Toronto Eaton Centre Shipping/Receiving). The Eaton Center receiving dock entrance is off of Bay Street, just south of Dundas Street on the east side of the street (under the Bell Trinity Building)

To use the loading dock, sign out an access card at the TRS Special Events Office. You are responsible for your own deliveries. 

Courier/Delivery Instructions:

  • Call your designated contact 10 minutes before entering the dock, so they can meet you by the elevator.
  • Take the large ramp to the bottom.
  • Advise Cadillac Fairview security that you are going to Ted Rogers School of Management.
  • Turn left and follow the signs. Our dock is beside Best Buy/Canadian Tire.
