Ted Rogers MBA makes program more accessible to Ted Rogers School students during COVID-19
COVID-19 has made it difficult for graduating students from the Ted Rogers School to find jobs and meet necessary work requirements to apply to do their MBA. The Ted Rogers MBA program is responding by making their program more accessible.
Ted Rogers School Co-op graduates are now eligible to apply to the Ted Rogers MBA program and can count their co-op work terms towards the two-year work experience requirement. The program is also considering progressive and managerial full-time internships and summer jobs when calculating work experience. Qualified students do not need to submit a GMAT score.
“COVID-19 has presented a challenging environment for Ted Rogers School students trying to find jobs and get the necessary work experience after graduating,” says Dr. Donna Smith, Director, MBA Programs. “We want to ensure that there are no obstacles for students wanting to pursue an MBA at our school, which is why we are taking into account alternate work experience and waiving the GMAT requirement.”
Students in the Ted Rogers Co-op program earn up to 16 months of work experience through their co-op placements and have been employed at leading companies in sectors ranging from healthcare and finance to property development and the public service. Students admitted into the Ted Rogers Co-op program have already undergone a lengthy application process demonstrating their extra-curricular involvement, work experience in addition to a strong CGPA.
“Ted Rogers School undergraduates already know the quality of business education our school offers, and that same experience is available at the graduate level,” says Dr. Smith. “Our top-ranked Ted Rogers MBA program is a great way to gain a competitive advantage in the job market and we are happy to make the program more accessible to the Ted Rogers School community and give students the opportunity to professionally develop themselves during this time.” This offer is the beginning of a broader strategy to make the Ted Rogers MBA program more accessible to the Ted Rogers School community.
The application portal to join the Ted Rogers MBA program this Fall (September 2020) is now open. For more information about the program and application requirements, contact Nikoletta Papadopoulos, Manager, Graduate Student Recruitment npapad@torontomu.ca.
