DECA Ryerson is an award-winning and record-breaking chapter of DECA, with a history of achieving top placements at competitions that include teams from across Canada, the United States and around the world.
This year, DECA Ryerson sent a team of 21 TRSM students to represent at the external,DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC), external link (external link) in Anaheim, California, from April 18 to April 22.
Students representing TRSM at this conference trained for several months and won top places at the provincial level and placed top 3 in their selective business categories.
Representing TRSM and Ryerson at the international level, the team participated in a case competition, as well as workshops and other networking and professional development activities.
DECA Ryerson ICDC Results
The DECA Ryerson team had a fantastic showing at ICDC, with 12 out 18 provincial winners placing, and more even placing top 10 in the finals.
DECA Ryerson won three plaques, as well as the Chapter Award for First Place in Marketing & Communications Team Cluster, receiving the highest scores in the category.
