Graduate Language Program

Students and pedestrians walking through a tree-lined urban walkway on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus during the day, with TMU banners and buildings visible in the background.

Through the TMU Graduate Language Program, partner institutions can offer future TMU graduate students a new way to meet the English language proficiency requirements for admission to TMU—without having to submit a standardized English test score.

Running in two terms—the first 14 weeks and the second 10 weeks—the TMU Graduate Language Program gives students multiple opportunities to demonstrate their language proficiency, making it a more favourable alternative to programs that rely solely on a final exam.

Upon enrolling in the program, students will receive a conditional offer to select TMU graduate programs provided that they meet all other admission requirements.

  • Partner with an innovative Canadian university
  • Introduce a new type of model to interested students
  • Open a new recruitment channel
