Hosted by Infonex, this event will explore how diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (IDEA) can be embedded into infrastructure planning to build resilience to climate change and ensure equitable outcomes for all communities. Sessions will highlight frameworks, community engagement strategies, and policy solutions for integrating IDEA into climate-resilient infrastructure. Nancy Mitchell, Director of Research – Special Projects at the Diversity Institute, will moderate the panel “More Voices, Better Outcomes: Embedding Diversity, Equity and Accessibility in Infrastructure”, featuring experts from the Standards Council of Canada, Housing, Infrastructure and Communities Canada and the City of Kitchener.
