- Date
- October 15, 2025
- Time
- 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. ET
A Future Built on Skills is a one-day hybrid event convening Canada’s top voices in skills, training, and workforce development to align on a national vision for building a resilient, inclusive, and future-ready economy. Join Dr. Wendy Cukier, Founder of the Diversity Institute and Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University, as she contributes to two key sessions focused on Canada’s labour market and the evolving skills landscape. At 10:00 AM, Cukier will join economists from the OECD and Conference Board of Canada for “Current State of Skills in Canada,” a data-driven discussion on workforce readiness, international competitiveness, and economic pressures shaping our future. She will return at 10:55 AM for “Future Skills in Demand,” a panel exploring the critical skills—AI and digital, social and emotional, and green—needed to meet tomorrow’s challenges and close emerging gaps in talent and training.
