Ted Rogers MBA ranked 6th globally among large schools in 2025 Better World MBA ranking
For the second year in a row, the Ted Rogers MBA has been ranked 6th in the world among large business schools by the Corporate Knights Better World MBA ranking (external link, opens in new window) . The annual ranking reflects the strong demand for sustainability in core courses in MBA programs across the world.
Corporate Knights defines a large school as an MBA program with over 80 graduates a year. The Ted Rogers MBA program also placed 18th globally overall and 4th in Canada in the Corporate Knights 2025 Better World MBA ranking. Last year, the program ranked 17th in the world overall and 4th in Canada.
“The Ted Rogers School aims to be globally recognized for education that shapes the world of business and develops principled leaders, so to have our MBA program included in the Corporate Knights Better World Ranking is a tremendous achievement,” says Dr. Laleh Samarbakhsh, Graduate Program Director, MBA. “By integrating sustainability education into our curriculum today, we are developing ethical business leaders for tomorrow.”
The Better World MBA ranking, first conducted in 2010, previously evaluated the top full-time MBA programs in the world, diversity of faculty and proportion of its research devoted to sustainability issues. Since 2023, the weighting has focused on what is being taught.
This year’s ranking methodology was based on the proportion of core (mandatory) courses from each MBA program that integrate relevant sustainable development themes (90%), and the percent of recent (2023-2024) MBA alumni working for impact organizations – measured as the ratio of Impact Alumni to Total MBA Alumni for the relevant time period (10%). Impact organizations include: all non-profits, Corporate Knights Global 100 Companies, Corporate Knights Clean 200 Companies, and any company whose primary focus is providing solutions to social and/or environmental problems (>50% of sales or prospective sales).
“I am proud that the Ted Rogers MBA program has once again ranked among the top MBA programs in the world when it comes to sustainability,” said Dr. Cynthia Holmes, Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management. “Business schools play a pivotal role in shaping responsible business practices, and the Ted Rogers School is committed to shaping leaders who prioritize environmental and social sustainability.”
This year’s top 40 MBA programs span 12 countries – with 13 U.K., six Canadian and six U.S. programs making the list.
This is not the first time this year that the Ted Rogers MBA program has been recognized for sustainability. In May, the program was named a Tier 1 Green MBA by the editors of CEO Magazine.
