The Ted Rogers Undergraduate Sales Team (TRUST) continued its success at U.S. sales competitions by finishing second overall out of 44 universities at the National Shore Sales Challenge.

The event, held virtually March 25-27, 2021, was hosted by Maryland’s Salisbury University and featured university students competing in a role-play and speed-selling competition.

Ted Rogers School of Management students Mostafa Abdel Hadi and Sarah Jalal placed in the Top 10 (out of 84 students) for their individual sales role-plays, and Rosemarie Burdeos finished second overall (out of 170 students) in the speed-selling competition. Adam Lee Him, Victoria Chan, Anuj Agarwal and Jason Sivakumar also competed in the speed-selling challenge and helped contribute to the team’s success at the event.

“This has been an exciting year for our sales leadership students, with over 110 sales students developing key sales skills and making such a positive impact,” says Dr. Karen Peesker, Director of the Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program. “All of the students have worked very hard in a challenging year, showing great resilience and a growth mindset, and it has paid off. Our students are representing Ryerson and Canada so well and we are very proud of all of them.”

Earlier this month, TRUST was the only Canadian university who qualified to compete in the prestigious National Collegiate Sales Competition, and finished 8th overall at the event.
