Incident details

Ryerson community guests reported to Ryerson Security that they were approached by an individual asking for directions. As the community guests were providing directions, the individual attempted to hug them. Toronto Police Service and Toronto Paramedic Services were declined.

Description information

The individual was described as being male, with a medium complexion, approximately 25 to 35 years old and approximately 178 cm (5’10’’). They had a full beard. They were wearing a black baseball hat and black sport jersey. They were carrying a red side bag.

Available to all community members, this free service pairs you with a uniformed security crew member to escort you to various locations on campus, including nearby parking lots, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
