The Birch Bark Canoe

Michael Mihalicz, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship & Strategy and Indigenous Advisor at the Ted Rogers School of Management will share the importance of the birch bark canoe in trading relationships on Turtle Island.

By attending this event, you will have a greater understanding of the canoe-making process shared by Todd Labrador, Mi'kmaq artisan who built the birch bark canoe. You will also learn how you can connect in mind, heart and spirit with the canoe, and how we, as a community, are its caretakers at TMU.
