Ryerson becomes first Canadian university to join University Sales Center Alliance
The Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program at Ryerson University has achieved Associate Member status in the University Sales Center Alliance (USCA), making it the first Canadian university to be accepted into this group.
The USCA is a consortium of sales centers connecting university faculty members with many different backgrounds and areas of expertise. Together, these credible and innovative educators advocate for the continuing advancement of the sales profession through teaching, research and outreach. Associate membership is meant to serve as a mentoring period during which Full Members may assist a university as it works towards Full membership.
“We are thrilled to be the first Canadian university member of USCA!” says Dr. Karen Peesker, Director of the Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program. “Thank you to so many of you who have helped us get the program up and running along the way. We look forward to learning new insights and ideas, and appreciate this opportunity!”
Launched in 2018, the Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program provides specialized experiential learning opportunities for emerging sales leaders aimed at developing professional sales skills. It is one of the first programs of its kind offered at an English-speaking Canadian university.
The program includes the Ted Rogers Undergraduate Sales Team, which has been bringing home many honours from North American case competitions. This year, the team came in second overall at the U.S. National Shore Sales Challenge and finished 8th overall at the U.S. National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC).
The Ted Rogers Sales Leadership Program has also made the Sales Education Foundation’s “Top Universities for Professional Sales Education” list for three years in a row, and was only one of three Canadian schools to make the 2021 list.
