TRSM Students Win Two Challenges at Enactus Central Regional Exposition

March 16, 2018

Congratulations to the TRSM students in the Ryerson team that advanced to the 2018 Enactus Canada National Exposition after being crowned regional champions for two challenges at the Central competition.

Each year, the Enactus Central Regional Exposition brings together student, academic and industry leaders from post-secondary schools across Ontario and Quebec to celebrate the achievements of Canada’s future leaders and entrepreneurs.

During the event, students showcase how their community outreach projects and business ventures are making a real impact in Canada and beyond. The combined Ryerson team was made up of 31 TRSM, 3 FEAS and 2 FCAD students.

At this year’s event, held March 8-9, 2018, the combined Ryerson team won the Scotiabank Eco-Living Green Challenge, which empowers students to develop and deliver projects that teach others viable solutions to relevant environmental issues, and the Scotiabank Youth Empowerment Challenge, which empowers students to create projects that address the needs and opportunities facing youth (aged 25 and under), as it relates to education, learning skills and life-long success.

As winners of these two challenges, the students will move on to the National Exposition, taking place May 14-16 in Toronto, to compete against winners from the Western Canada and Atlantic Canada Regional Expositions.

The Ryerson team was also regional runner-ups at the event for the Capital One Financial Literacy Challenge and the TD Entrepreneurship Challenge.
