TRSM places second in Goodman Gold Challenge
Team TRSM brought home the silver from the Goodman Gold Challenge in Sudbury. The team, consisting of Adam Hamade, Mohor Hatalkar, Bill Wahab, and Jack Duff, placed second in the unique mining management competition for undergraduate students.
The 2nd annual event, held January 26-28, 2018 at Laurentian University, featured 10 teams from Ontario, Manitoba and Kentucky. Unlike other competitions, participants evaluated the investment potential of three gold companies currently trading on the TSX or TSX-V (Wesdome, Sabina Gold & Silver, Nighthawk Gold) and recommended a single company for their portfolio to their top tier clients.
The challenge provided students with real-life experience by giving them a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interview three gold mining company CEOs about the current and projected financial strength of their company to decide whether it belonged on the tier one client list.
