TRSM dominates QMAC 2018 Conference awards

Eric Potocean and Michael Webster make Top 10 in large case competition and 1st place in mini case

Congratulations to TRSM students for a great showing at this year’s Queen’s Marketing Association Conference (QMAC), the most prestigious undergraduate marketing conference in Canada. 

The event, held January 11-13 in Toronto, brought together 134 university students from across 10 universities, with 10 accepted delegates from TRSM – the second highest number of external delegates for a school. 

The conference, now in its 33rd year, featured one large case competition sponsored by Canadian Tire, where Eric Potocean and Michael Webster made the Top 10, and Ean van Staalduinen and Jianing Yang as well as Stanley Sik ranked in the Top 20. 

The event also had four mini case challenges where Potocean and Webster captured first place* in the P&G competition, and van Staalduinen and Yang placed second* in the General Mills challenge. 

Along with the case awards, TRSM students were also recognized for these other awards and achievements:

- Unilever Mini Games Challenge- 1st place* (Potocean and Webster)
- #TelusViews Contest - 2nd place (Sik)
- Best Question Award (Sik)
- Best Roommates Award presented by Trend Micro (Potocean, van Staalduinen, Anthony Esguerra, Webster)
- Best QMAC Spirit Award presented by BrainStation (Esguerra)
- Top Ambassador Award presented by Mars (van Staalduinen)
