TRSM Cares Raises Over $11,000 for CAMH

A team of TRSM students and staff stayed on campus overnight for a good cause on Friday, April 7, raising over $11,000 for the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the process.
The TRSM Cares team was participating in the CAMH One Brave Night for Mental Health (external link, opens in new window) , a Canada-wide challenge to "share one night to inspire hope for the one in five Canadians living with mental illness in any given year."
The challenge raises money to help CAMH improve access to care, conduct research to find better treatments, and build more spaces for healing.
Despite hectic end-of-term schedules, more than two dozen TRSM students participated in the event, with many more students, staff and faculty making donations to support the important work of CAMH and help end the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Finishing with the eighth highest fundraising total in the country (external link, opens in new window) – among teams from some of the Canada’s most influential organizations and companies, including CIBC and KPMG – TRSM Cares surpassed its $10,000 goal, bringing in a total of $11,848 for CAMH.
Nationwide, the 2017 One Brave Night for Mental Health challenge raised close $1 million dollars for the CAMH Foundation (external link, opens in new window) .
The TRSM Cares team raised close to $12,000 to support CAMH through the One Brave Night Challenge.
