Incident details
A TMU community member reported to TMU Security that they were approached by two individuals in a van and sold a projector that turned out to be broken.
On April 16, approximately 3 p.m., another TMU community member reported being approached by two individuals in the same vehicle who attempted to sell a TV and projector. The community member refused to purchase the items.
Toronto Police Service was notified and indicated this has been an ongoing fraudulent scam in downtown Toronto. TMU community members are advised to beware of similar interactions in the downtown core.

The first individual was described as male with a medium complexion. They had a black goatee. They were wearing a black baseball hat and a grey sweater.
