Encouraging TMU to Move

TMU Recreation helps you integrate movement into your regular routine. Why? Regular physical activity benefits your academic and work performance, your individual wellbeing, and helps you make connections to others in our community. 

As hard as it may seem at first, finding ways to dedicate time to fitness and health helps you:

  • be more creative;
  • think more clearly;
  • reduce stress;
  • study better; and 
  • maintain positive relationships.

In our two fitness facilities, the Recreation & Athletics Centre (RAC) and the Mattamy Athletic Centre (MAC), as well as through initiatives across campus, we strive to provide safe and inclusive spaces for you to move in a diversity of ways.
