What to expect
Are you a student leader wanting to make a real impact on our campus culture?
Sponsored by the Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion, the three-day Student Conflict Mediation Training Program aims to equip TMU student leaders who want to develop practical skills for conflict de-escalation, conflict mediation, collaborative problem-solving and leadership development.
Through interactive, in-person sessions, you will build the essential skills needed to mediate conflicts while fostering inclusive and supportive environments for your peers.
Please note that participants must be available for all 3 full days of training in order to participate in the training program. Only those who can commit to attend all 3 days will be eligible for consideration and receipt of the Certificate of Completion.

Required Qualifications
- Must be a registered student at TMU. Part-time students are welcome.
- Student participants must be in their second year of study or above.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Comfortable leading small group discussions and participating in interactive activities.
- The ability to work collaboratively with peers, staff and community members.
- An interest in community engagement, conflict resolution, and leadership development.
