RAC Pool: Reopened July 19

The RAC pool has reopened this morning, Tuesday, July 19, resuming our regular schedule of activities.

The pool in the Recreation & Athletics Centre (RAC) will be closed until at least Tuesday, July 12th, with a tentative reopening anticipated for the morning of Wednesday, July 13th.
A pair of glass-lensed goggles were broken on the edge of the pool deck and glass is believed to have entered the pool, creating a significant safety hazard. As a result the pool must be drained, thoroughly cleaned, refilled, and rebalanced/reheated, a process that is slated to take roughly a week.
Confirmation of our reopening date will be shared here and directly with pool user groups in the coming days as the maintenance work proceeds. Thank you to all of our swimmers for your patience.
