Are you feeling tired, unseen and unheard? The lived experiences of intersectionality as an Asian person in Canada is complicated and can hold many contradictions. A combination of racism, misrepresentation in the media and being held up to the "model minority myth" has hurt all of us. While progress is being made, it's no wonder that the rise of Anti-Asian sentiments during the pandemic only highlighted the complicated relationship that Asians have with self-care — and the nuanced ways it intersects with culture and community.

Join us for this special event hosted by the Asian Faculty and Staff Network, to hear from a group of talented panelists share their insights and strategies on self-care, and how prioritizing our own mental well-being also allows us to collectively care for each other.

Speakers include:

  • Matt P., Friends of Chinatown
  • Iman Grewal, Mental Health Advocate and Wellness Expert, Founder of YogaVedaIman
  • France Stohner, Mental Health Counsellor (Vanier College) and Community Organizer

This event will be both in-person and online via Zoom. Please RSVP by March 29 and you will receive a calendar invite once confirmed.
