The Rise Up Women’s+ Pitch Competition is a transformative program designed to empower Black women entrepreneurs. Co-founded by the Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA), CASA Foundation, and Women Entrepreneurial Knowledge Hub (WEKH), this initiative is dedicated to addressing the unique challenges faced by Black women in business.
Since its inception, Rise Up has provided thousands of women with access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and a platform to showcase their talents and innovative ventures. Now in its fifth year, the 2025 Rise Up program continues to celebrate resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Key Objectives:
- Empowerment and Skill-Building: Equip participants with core entrepreneurial competencies, from business model design and financial planning to effective pitching.
- Funding Access: Provide opportunities for financial support to aid in overcoming barriers to business growth and sustainability.
- Mentorship and Coaching: Facilitate access to 1:1 coaching, group workshops, and business plan reviews with industry experts.
- Community Building and Networking: Foster connections among entrepreneurs and with industry leaders, creating a network of support that extends beyond the program.
