Gender-based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) is an analytical tool used to support the development of responsive and inclusive policies, programs and other initiatives. Join the two-day conference for unique insights, practical information and implementation tips from the foremost GBA Plus experts. 

On the first day of the conference, join Wendy Cukier, founder and academic director of the Diversity Institute and academic research director of the Future Skills Centre, for a session on GC Digital Standards, Digital Inclusion and Innovation. The session will take place on February 18, 2025 at 3:15 p.m.

Session Goals:

  • Ensuring digital tools and platforms are designed to meet the needs of diverse populations.
  • Effective implementation of GC Digital Standards focussed on overcoming barriers to access, for women, racialized communities, and the disabled.
  • How diversity in teams leads to better innovation outcomes and inclusive practices advance Canada’s digital economy.
  • The importance of public-private partnerships and community engagement.
  • The need for reliable data on digital divides and systemic inequities to create policies that uphold the principles of GC Digital Standards.

The second day of the conference will be hosted by the Diversity Institute's director of research for special projects, Nancy Mitchell.
