PAS - Self-Assessment: Call For Participation
As a national leader in diversity research, the Diversity Institute (DI) is facilitating the creation of a Publicly Available Specification (PAS) on behalf of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) and the Standards Council of Canada. The PAS will provide guidance for self-assessment and the tools to enable participating organizations to demonstrate their compliance and/or progress toward compliance for the 50 – 30 Challenge. This includes guidance, criteria, metrics and examples that will help organizations to achieve gender parity and significant representation of equity-deserving groups on boards and/or in senior management positions in line with the goals of the 50 – 30 Challenge.
As part of the project, DI will be hosting consultations to inform the guidance, criteria and metrics to be built into the PAS. If you are an individual or organization interested in more information on the project and would like to be involved, or would like to nominate an expert in the area of metrics, criteria, standards and certification for improving diversity on boards and in leadership to be part of the review panel, send an email to n.mitchell@torontomu.ca with the subject line “Help create a Publicly Available Specification (PAS).”
