Shay comes to the Diversity Institute and the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub with over 13 years experience as an entrepreneur. Previously in collaboration with Ryerson's DMZ Sandbox, she created a panel discussion on Women and Entrepreneurship with aspiring entrepreneurial students and the community of women entrepreneurs in the Greater Toronto area. During her entrepreneurial career, she was nominated for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Chatelaine Profit W100 Top Female Entrepreneurs in Canada. Shay is a mentor to entrepreneurs with the WeHub and NEH programs. Shay studied at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Arts and Science, Entrepreneurship certificate program and General Arts and Science at George Brown College.
