Lindsay is nearing the completion of her Ph.D. in Higher Education at the University of Toronto. Her research interests lie within areas such as equity, diversity, and inclusion in STEM and post-secondary pathways and labour market outcomes. Her dissertation research uses narrative inquiry to tell the stories of female, first-generation students in male-dominated mathematics and physics programs. Lindsay also holds an M.A. in Integrated Studies (Adult Education and Work, Organization & Leadership), Bachelor of Education, and Bachelor of Mathematics. Outside of her academic pursuits, Lindsay is passionate and committed to changing STEM education for equity-deserving groups and has over nine years of experience working as a mathematics and physics teacher, course instructor for teacher candidates, and mentor for young women. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, watching hockey, and expanding her Lego collection.
