Joy is a research assistant contributing to the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH). She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in English from Western University. Her master's thesis focused on historical representations of gender and queer identities in seventeenth-century English literature. She has also written and presented papers on intersectionality in Asian-American women's writings. Joy previously worked as a teaching assistant in the Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies department at Western University.
