Co-op opportunities

Gain valuable work experience, expand your network and earn money doing it. TMU Arts co-op programs connect students with employers looking for fresh ideas and talented new team members. By Fall of 2026, all Arts majors are expected to offer a co-op option. Explore our co-op roster and learn about jobs and opportunities available in areas as diverse as English to Finance and Economics.

Double majors

Interested in exploring two academic areas? A Double Major lets you earn a degree in two primary subjects such as English and History or Philosophy and Criminology. While a single Major counts for 24 to 30 core courses of your degree program, a Double Major comprises 13-15 courses in each of the two subject areas. (Only offered in the Bachelor of Arts degree.)

Choose a minor

Adding a Minor (or Minors) to your degree gives you an opportunity to study additional subjects or acquire new skills you’re interested in. A Minor might be related to your major, or could be in a completely different subject area and is made up of six specific courses per subject.

Choose a concentration

A Concentration is a structured study plan that gives you an opportunity to go deep into the study of a particular field you’re interested in. Depending on the area you focus on, your concentration might include 6 to 12 core or professional electives.
