RAC Fitness Spaces opening February 14, 2022

Increasing capacity to meet high student demand
With the phased return to in-person classes underway, demand from students for recreation services has been very high since our re-opening on Jan-31. While safety remains our top priority, we're working hard to increase capacity (always within provincial requirements) to ensure students, staff and faculty are able to access our fitness spaces and programs.
In addition to the reopening of the MAC Fitness Centre on Jan-31 and the return of in-person programs on Feb-7:
- On Wed-Feb-9, fitness centre capacity at the MAC was increased (within provincial requirements) to meet demand
- Starting Mon-Feb-14, RAC fitness spaces will reopen on weekday afternoons and evenings, including Women's Only hours on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons - the addition of the RAC represents a more than doubling of our current per timeslot capacity
- Starting Feb-28, coinciding with the full return of in-person academics, the RAC and MAC will resume full regular hours, with more details to come
Health and safety remains top priority
As the RAC fitness spaces reopen next week, the health and safety of our students, members and staff remains our priority. Pre-reserved activities, health screenings, and proof of vaccination required. Masks are required ALWAYS, including while physically active.
