Event description

Intro to Reiki Self-Practice will guide participants through a sustainable model of self-care, teaching you how to use your own energy to heal yourself. Facilitator Sam Howden will provide an easy and approachable guide for participants. With a core value of accessibility, this practice is open to all people and no previous knowledge of Reiki traditions is required! The workshop takes into account trauma in the space of the body.

About the Sam Howden 

Sam Howden (external link)  is a third year, undergraduate student in the School of Social Work. She identifies as a queer, Métis, cis-gender woman from Treaty 1 Territory (also known as Winnipeg, Manitoba) who occupies multiple disabilities. She is also a Reiki master, tarot reader and spiritual practitioner. 

Sam received her first level of Reiki in 2002 from her mother Mona-Lynne Ayotte, and subsequently achieved her level two in 2007 from Karen Garnett who later supported her master’s-level attainment in 2017.
